Boxed insufflator

Description

Boxed insufflator containing plastic tube and rubber bulb, manufactured by Allen and Hanburys. An inscription marked on the box reads ‘Ears’.

Insufflators were used to administer medicines, in the form of gasses or powder, into a bodily cavity. In this instance the insufflator was used for ears.
