Bromo Paper c1878-1901
Bromo Paper is a toilet paper containing bromo chloralum and carbolic acid. Manufactured in the UK by the Diamond Mills Paper Company Limited and sold by chemists. The paper is stored in a cardboard box, and each sheet has a “BROMO” watermark. The tagline on the box reads ‘A perfectly pure article for the Water Closet’ Bromo Paper was awarded the highest prize in the 1878 Paris Exposition.
