Ceramic Yardley English Lavender Soap Dish 1983

Ceramic Yardley English Lavender soap dish, with a figurine group of one adult and two child lavender sellers with a dog. The group is based on a painting of primrose sellers by the artist Francis Wheatley, RA (1747-1801), originally exhibited 1792-1795 as part of the Cries of London series of street traders and adopted by Yardley in 1913.
