Fitting-Up Box-Respirator Gas Masks at the Oxford Works c1914-1918

Although primarily concerned with the wholesale and manufacturing side of pharmacy, the business of John Bell, Hills and Lucas, Ltd. turned its efforts to producing anti-gas respirators during the First World War, for which they engaged a large female workforce.
