The astonishing premises at 164 Piccadilly were finished in an idiosyncratic “Jacobean” style that was said to be a speciality of the architect, Mr Jennings. The inconveniently narrow frontage, only nine feet wide, was compensated for by a spacious hallway which led to the dispensing department.
