Mounted hand coloured etching and aquatint entitled ‘Jerry “beat to a standstill”! Dr Please’em’s Prescription; Tom and Logic’s condolence; and the “Slaveys” on the alert.’, drawn and etched by Isaac Robert Cruikshank and George Cruikshank, and published by Sherwood, Neely, Jones in 1822.
This caricature depicts a bedroom scene in Corinthian House. An invalid Jerry is seated on a chair. Tom sits facing him holding a top hat. The Doctor sits in a chair next to the patient, taking his pulse. An old nurse mixes gruel. In the background Logic, on a visit from the fleet, talks to the maid.
