Mounted coloured lithograph, entitled ‘Le premier Janvier ou les Etrennes à Bobonne’, designed and lithographed by anon, and published by Jean Baptiste Genty, around 1820 (undated).

‘Le premier Janvier ou les Etrennes à Bobonne’ (English translation: ‘The first of January, or the Housemaid’s New Years’ Gift’) depicts a man carrying an umbrella, feather duster, bellows, broom, tongs, clyster and chamber pot. He stands before a lady (presumably the housemaid) seated beside a side table. In the background are curtains.
