Description

A small oxygen cylinder and bag designed for portable use, made by the British Oxygen Company Ltd. The cylinder black with a white top, which indicates that it contains oxygen and is marked ‘return for test 1970’.

Fact

Oxygen was discovered in the 1770’s but oxygen therapy became widespread during the First World War, as a treatment for mustard gas poisoning.
