Professor John Attfield 1867-1870

Attfield was a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain 1868-1911. He was Professor of Practical Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy 1862-1896. Attfield’s ‘Introduction to Pharmaceutical Chemistry’ was published in 1867 and went through 19 editions during his lifetime. He was appointed one of the three editors of the British Pharmacopoeia in 1885.
