Text on paper labels reads ‘Catal. Mat. Med. p. 130, no. 103’ and ‘SANGUIS BOVINUM’.

Lemery says that ‘The Blood drunk warm is said to cure the Epilepsy; besmear’d upon the Skin warm, it takes away all Foulness; and is also good against the Gout and other Pains.’
