Description

Ceramic nasal douche labelled ‘The ‘’Iglodine’’ Nasal Douche’. This apparatus was patented by Henry Igel in 1908. Igel had patented the chemical Iglodine a year before, claiming it had antiseptic properties, likely because iodine was a primary ingredient.

Igel faced numerous bankruptcies throughout his life, and was met with suspicion as a Romanian national living in England during the First World War..
