Full length portrait of a well-dressed unfortunate lady, wearing a large trimmed bonnet. She vainly waves her arms; her mouth is sealed with a pitch plaster. Lettering below reads: “Put a Stout Pitch Plaister over the offending Part when the disorder is at its height; the effect is certain. ___ it is also a fine relief for the Ears.”
