Black and white photograph mounted on cardboard of 17 Bloomsbury Square the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain Headquarters. This is the earliest known photograph of 17 Bloomsbury Square. You can clearly see the new floor added to the building by the Pharmaceutical Society to house its laboratories in 1861, and the Society’s name below the architrave. Photograph taken before the demolition of 15 and 16 Bloomsbury Square in what is thought to be 1883-1884.
