Description

Pen and ink drawing, untitled, by the artist Richard Freshfield (“Fred”) Reynolds. The drawing depicts a bearded figure holding a rod and wearing hob nailed boots, standing on a plinth inscribed ‘XVII’ above columns.

To one side of him on the plinth is a pestle and mortar, on the other is a large padded glove. There are also what appear to be alembics on either side of the plinth.
