Wound Dressing, 1941
Description
Cloth pouch containing a War Office Army Medical Department Shell Dressing, enclosed in a waterproof cover. The bandage was manufactured by S. Maw, Son and Sons, Limited in March 1941 to be issued by the War Office Army Medical Department.
The bandage would have been used by army personnel during World War II. The directions state; ‘In case of head wounds, when respirators have to be worn, care should be taken to adjust the pad so that it does not interfere with the fit of the face-piece’.
